Zoom labels: ask what changes in the image

Do not choose a camera from the zoom multiplier alone. Ask what mechanism produces the enlarged view and request original sample recordings of the scene you need to inspect.

Turn each label into a testable question

| Digital zoom | What area is enlarged, what is the saved output resolution, and is the enlarged view recorded or only displayed in the app? |
| Blend, hybrid or combined zoom | What does that term mean for this exact configuration: a lens change, switching between camera views, digital processing, or a combination? Ask for the transition to be demonstrated. |
Compare a task, not a screenshot
- Name the target: an entrance, a vehicle movement or a specific area of a yard.
- State the intended mounting position and measured target distance as test inputs.
- Request the wide view and enlarged view from the same position, with settings and lighting recorded.
- Include movement and the lighting conditions that matter to your project.
- Review original exported footage and agree the acceptance criterion before purchase.
